THE family brewery from Merkendorf

Family-run in the 7th generation

Brewing has been taking place on the historic estate in Merkendorf since 1556. Nestled in the picturesque Bamberg countryside, we have been passionately brewing our beers since 1846, family-run under the name “Brauerei Hummel.” We use carefully selected, regional ingredients and traditional recipes that reflect the character of our region in every sip.
